Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
In short
- We keep what we need to run Sigglio: your account, your workspace's content, and your billing status.
- We never see or store your card details. Paddle and Razorpay handle payments.
- To write proposals, your profile and the job are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, at any time.
1. Who is responsible for your data
[Company legal name], [Registered office address], runs Sigglio and is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: hello@sigglio.com.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash; nobody at Sigglio can read them.
- Workspace details: your company or workspace name, team members you invite and their roles, and company details you add in Settings.
- Your Upwork profiles: what you enter: headline, bio, hourly rate, keywords and filters, case studies, portfolio links, languages, timezone and country. If you add portfolio links, we read those pages to help the AI describe your work.
- Proposals and activity: drafts, templates, bids, notes, job statuses, and which proposals were submitted, answered or won.
- Billing details: your plan, billing country, subscription status, and the amounts and dates of payments. We never receive your card or bank details; Paddle and Razorpay collect them directly.
- Support and enquiries: messages you send us through the in-app chat, feedback, or the Enterprise enquiry form (name, company, email, phone if given, and your answers).
- Technical data: a record of important actions in your workspace (for example a plan change) for security and support. Your IP address is used briefly to protect sign-in and forms from abuse, and is not stored with your account.
Sigglio also stores public Upwork job posts, including what Upwork shows about the client (such as their country, rating and spend), so we can match jobs to you.
3. Why we use it
- to provide the Service: match jobs, write drafts, track proposals, and run your team's workspace;
- to take payments and keep billing and tax records;
- to answer support requests and Enterprise enquiries;
- to keep Sigglio secure and prevent abuse;
- to tell you about important changes to your account, the Service or these policies.
We rely on our contract with you to provide the Service, on our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and improving it, and on legal obligations for billing and tax records. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. AI processing
To write a proposal, Sigglio sends Anthropic (our AI provider) the job post and the parts of your profile needed to write it: headline, bio, rate, tone, keywords, case studies, your portfolio text, your template, and any instructions you add. Anthropic processes it to return the draft. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
6. Where your data is processed
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We use providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- While you use Sigglio: we keep your workspace's data so the Service works.
- After you cancel: you keep everything until your paid period ends. Fourteen days after that, your Upwork profiles, keywords, templates and proposal content are permanently deleted.
- Your account: your account and workspace stay after you cancel, so you can come back, until you ask us to delete them.
- Activity history: the log of what was done in your workspace is deleted after 12 months, and in-app notifications after 90 days.
- On request: you can ask us to delete your account and workspace at any time (see below). We delete every account in the workspace, its content and its activity history, and cancel any subscription so you aren't charged again. A single person who has left a team can ask the same.
- Records we must keep: payment records (amounts, dates, plan and the payment provider's reference) are kept for as long as tax, accounting and legal obligations require, without your name, then deleted. The payment providers keep their own records under their own terms.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU and UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data, or send it to another service;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent where we relied on it.
Email hello@sigglio.com. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Grievance officer (India): [Name of grievance officer], reachable at hello@sigglio.com.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and stored platform credentials are encrypted. Access to customer data inside Sigglio is limited to people who need it to run and support the Service. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
Sigglio is not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any change here and update the date above. If a change matters, we will also tell you in the app or by email. See also our Terms of Service.
